Tullyarvan Mill, a 19th century renovated corn mill situated on the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ just outside the seaside town of Buncrana, Inishowen, Co. Donegal offers Tourist accommodation, venue hire and Community space for locals and visitors to the area.  The Hostel provides modern, comfortable and clean budget accommodation to tourists, holidaymakers and backpackers from all over the world.

The modern building (opened in 2006) is adjacent to the 19th Century corn (Mais) mill situated next to the picturesque Crana River in County Donegal’s second largest town, Buncrana (Bun Cranncha). The hostel has 51 beds in total, 2 large, spacious dormitories, 4 family rooms & 1 Double / Twin which are all equipped with en-suite shower rooms and toilet facilities. Rooms with disabled en-suite facilities available. For groups we also offer venue and meeting room hire.

Tullyarvan Mill is Inishowen’s largest hostel and the friendly, professional staff know how to make every guest feel welcome with helpful information on local attractions & activities. It provides a large self-catering kitchen with well-maintained amenities and an open dining area or weather permitting, the ability to dine alfresco in the Donegal air in our gardens on the banks of the Crana River. The communal room with FREE WiFi access is a great place to relax and plan the next leg of your journey, read, watch TV, or make new friends.

tully2Tullyarvan Mill is the perfect location to stay, relax and to explore the spectacular Inishowen Peninsula home to the main tourist trail, “The Inishowen 100”, which is rich and diverse in heritage, culture and natural archaeology. The stunning local beaches are only minutes away and ideal for swimming, fishing and surfing. Some of which present a fantastic viewing point for the Aurora Borealis/ Northern lights. The fun, seaside town of Buncrana is a 10-minute walk with a range of shops and pubs, many of which play live music. Tullyarvan Mill Tourism Hostel is only a 45 minutes’ drive from Letterkenny and 20 minutes’ drive from Derry City both with regular transportation routes.

The original building built in 1810 has been home to many ventures and industries for over 180 years. Tullyarvan Mill including the hostel is now a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity so it’s nice to know that when you stay you are also making a direct contribution to the local community too!
